There wasn’t too much competition either (Stuff like Club Penguin, Adventure Quest, maybe even Toontown you could say were in the same market but even those weren’t hard-leaning fantasy MMOs like Sherwood was.) When you’d teleport to a different map there were just hundreds and hundreds of players, the game was hot amongst kids at the time cause it like one of the only free, in-browser easy access MMOs back in the late 2000s. I remember every time I’d join the hub with the castle place there was always a clan meeting up with dozens at the main “square”, and dozens more running around. I’m sure the game is like dead dead now, but back in 2008ish I was a kid and played it all the time, and it was sprawling, there were so many people playing. ![]() ![]() Randomly today this super old MMO popped in my head from long ago, and after searching this game in this subreddit to reminisce, a handful of you have remembered this game as well for being a pretty popular, crappy MMO back in like the late 2000s. If you guys played this game back in the day like I did, This game was used to try to traffic children, hear me out.
